Laughters, Lasers, Lamesters and Fogs

So this is the cruise.

Was walking around with Raissa. This time was just taking picture. See the background. Night time there, the lights on the building all went on. Then at 8pm everyday, there will be a musical laser show. They say everyday is a different version. Like there will be in English, Chinese, etc..
Before that we were baking cookies and brownies and muffins. Rais and me made the Oreo cheesecake. Jeanne's friends came over to help her bake. She wanted to give her classmates brownies for Valentine. Then she said that on Friday, is the one class she has the most number of people. And that gave us to 10 people. I was like whoa, 10 is the most number of people in your class. So yah, we end up drinking mango drinks waiting for Jeanne.
This was the clock tower and the lights in front of it. They are having the lantern display. But we did not take photos.

Anyway, the Victoria Harbour, The Avenue of Stars, are filled with the Hollywood ground. The one where all the stars name pasted on the ground. So anyway, in this case, it is the same thing. So it is something like this:

See, that's how people take picture.

So anyway, in the end, we run out of cash so we went back up. Just Jeanne and friends about to go down. In the end, we went out eat sushi. Sashimi rules.

So went to Stanley market. It was alright. First time take the van. No. 40, and it cost HK$9/person. Then we walked walked. Everyone is like holding a flower. I mean the girls. Most of the people there are couples. So it was also the first time we take the public bus. The had to queue here to get on the bus. Every station is like an interchange. The cost is $13.80, but it stop right opposite our apartment. Wow, however, the journey took forever. It was so long. going there in the van only take 20 minutes plus.

Btw, ever see me had fun with a laughter?
Lucky you.

This is taken on my first day here.
Jeanne's forever 21 birthday.

So today, there are still couples holding flowers. So sweet. Not.
Today went cycling. HK$50 per bicycle. From 2-7. then we went from Tai Wai to Tai Po Market. That's like 4 stations away from MTR. I don't know if you put in Singapore term, then what will that be from. It was so far though. We never even reached the end yet. It was still a long way to go. The good thing though, the weather was good. Really cool.
Once we reached our place, we ate mango dessert again. Yay! It was so cold. The harbour is just so foggy. You cannot see the light. Then the dew just kept coming. We ate cold dessert and experience cold weather. I was wearing that(pic above), no jacket. So freaking cold. That was a first since i came here.
Oh well..

To HongKong

Look at that!!
That's the view from the apartment. Cool right?

So as usual the immigration asked me lots of question. For the rest of the people, they only took a while. For me, it was forever. They scan my visa to China - hello, not related. Then they kept scanning other pages too. Then asked a whole lot of weird questions. Well, not weird, normal actually. "How long, you're staying?"
"Where will you be staying?"
"Can i see your return ticket?"
"Do you have the Singapore card?"
Well, i was warned that they're going to do that. Then again, they always do that. I was in Vietnam, and they asked weird question. I went in Phuket they thought the guy behind me was my boyfriend. Please, i am never going to sell my body in a foreign country. Not anywhere, really.

As i said to Sophie before. I am not pretty enough to be a prostitute.

Anyway, the T1 airport in Sg is so bad. Burger King closed down. There was no Starbucks or Coffee Bean. Man, i reached early and it was not crowded at all. Then i had to just walked around. I should had went in as there was all the coffee i need. Then, my gate which was D40 was open way before time. Then when i went in, i finally knew why. There was 2 long queues to get in gate D40. So many China couple who had gone through mid-life crisis. Then a few Indians, so strange. Anyway, it was full house. And i got the worse seat ever. I hate middle seat. Just my luck, that was what i had, the middle of the middle, sandwich between uncute guys. Hmph.

I can laugh!!
I was watching Sex and the City. Then it was family guy, follow by some other comedy sitcom. I was laughing at it. So strange, i do not usually laugh at those shows. Let alone find them funny. But it was not pretty cute.

Took the train from airport to Kowloon. Jeanne and Raissa was waiting for me there. It was fun taking the train. It cost HK$100 though. That was kind of expensive. So the place was like Vivo City. You can see people walking around carrying luggage. So, we walked around the shopping centre to get lunch. Spicy noodles and dim sum, but it was not spicy at all.

The service apartment is so cool. Pretty huge for HK standard. So, anyway that Sunday, we walked around to don't know where. Actually i know. We used to stay there. The hotel there i mean. I remembered the place. Cool huh?

Told Jeanne that yes we've been there before, and she was like, "Huh? Really?" Well, she did not remember at all. Haha, so cool. I remembered all the places. The expensive place which is like Paragon, remembered that too. Honestly, i just don't know there name. So, yah, we just walked around. H&M is just H&M. Cheap, i guessed, but not really. I looked damn good in a Jason Mraz style hat. Should i buy it?

Then, there was the mini stores that sell all the teenagers stuff. It was like Far East. Only most of the shops are like Q-box. Then there was one that sell HK$175 colour contact for 1 year. Oh man, now without contacts, suddenly all the cute stuff uses contacts. I wanna get blue contacts and dye my hair blue.

Watched Bride wars with Pat on Saturday. Went home at like around 2am. Haven't packed, so obviously i never sleep. Since i had to wake up early for the flight. But cause of that, i wanted blue hair. I wanna be a Smurfs.

So we talked. And i asked what is the HK traditional food. They laughed and said, "Curry fish balls, lao puo ping, ..."
I was liked, "Oh Sg also has that!"
"Oh? Really?"
Wow, i didn't know they were surprised. Apparently Jeanne does not know lao puo ping or the whatever else she talked about exist at first.

Then, they showed me the bar, basically the place that chill out in. It was like Clarke Quey. Except the place was on a hill. So it was like up side down U-shape kind of road and surround it was filled with bars. They said at night, then the roads will be filled with people.

We ate some pizza with beers. Rais as usual just order the beer. Even though she was underage. There was the sign that they only sell it to above 18. I am sure he had his doubt, but the place was empty, so he will surely just sell it to us. The pizza is weird. No tomato, a little of the tomato paste on it. I like it that way. It is much better than normal pizza. But still kind of weird.

So, moral of the story, just order like as if you are overage. If get caught, well, i don't know what to do. But if you can not order, then let those who can order and steal it from them. But i got a cider instead of beer. As usual it's nice, but i prefer cold beer. Much more refreshing and less high maintenance. Haha, that's a first right?

The area in a corner was filled with mixed Thai food. Like Thai-Viet, Thai-Malaysia, Indian, etc food. When we just walked in only, they straight away pull you to them and ask you to look at the menu. Normal business stuff, but it can so get on your nerve, you know. So, the 3 Indian guys was just pushing their luck. So irritating. They flirted and told you how pretty you look and stuff. Jeanne said the first time they came there, Raissa screamed. Haha, good for her. So cute.

Then when we went back home, we walked around the Victoria Harbour. The again, got creepy Indian sort of guy asked us out. Me and Rais went into a coffee shop to ignore him. Then we went out again with a small cake for Jeanne's birthday. Again we met the guy. He followed us around. Kept asking for our number. Well, i do not lie when i said i do not have a number. I am not from HK. His 2 friends was just in front of him, laughing and trying to see how far he go. Or just waiting and seeing how silly he is. But, too bad. I mean if he choose other girls, i am sure he had a better chance.

We are so looking for native people. Or maybe mixed. Yes, mixed will be good.

Bought cuttlefish, which originated from Korea which cost HK$20. That is just ex for a piece of squid, but it taste so good. I want more. Yup, i should buy more.

Monday, just stayed home. Rest, catch up, whatever. Ate on-called Chinese food for dinner. No wonder, these people can't stop eating. The food here is just way nicer. Plus the weather is to die for. It is still kind of winter, so it is cold. Especially at night. Windy. Nice.

The apartment is like a hotel. I think it used to be a hotel. Since it was all carpeted and has air-con like in the hotels. Plus, all the doors has sign that said "Suite A***"

The air is colder on the pathway to the lobby, then outside. Especially the laundry room. Tiany always said, "went down to the laundry room." I thought it was really an apartment which is normal flats. But it is not. It is really like a hotel. When you're inside, you have to walk the corridors, to get to your door. And the laundry place is on our floor. So, that was another communication at fault.

Our neighbours, lots of models. But mostly they stay like for a while. However, until now, still do not see one. Only the females. The rich and glamorous. Just whoa!

Today, right now, just waiting for them to finish school so we can go to Tsim Sat Tsui to eat mango desert. The last time we went there, the place was so crowded. Oh Tsim Sat Tsui, was where we used to stay. A place to walked around. Like Orchard road.

Oh well, i had to wait and prepare myself for a long walk to the MTR.

Hongkong was like a 2nd home, and now it is kind of, for everyone. Oh, Reyner can take the MTR by himself to go home. That is impressive.

The things that change around here:
  1. The people. It was like now, there are just many tourists around. But they feel belong. Like foreigners working here.
  2. Last time it is hard to speak Chinese to them. Now, English is alright. Sort of.
  3. Many other races around.

I know that is like all about the people living here. But it's true. It is just different. I don't know. Jeanne said it's not. But i just feel that it is different. Plus the fact their fashion is being copied in Sg. While they copy from Japan. In poly, you can see some of these fashion. So, it is still cool seeing it here, but not unique anymore.

The only thing is, if you wear all those funny clothing, you look normal here. In Sg, you'll stand out. It depend on how well you can dress. If well, then you just look really great. If not, you'll look pathetic Japanese-wanna-be.

But yes, i am going to copy some fashion and style back to Sg. But you know me. I'm really good at editing and making it MY OWN. In a week after i do that, you'll see, everyone will start wearing it too.

Haha, gotta love me.

Post-everything

So we had the boys coming over on Saturday. Well, it was just mostly for Hannes to take his stuff to Wil's house. They gonna BP the next day. So, the guys came over. And they saw the house. Then we chilled outside the pool. It was cool.

Having friends in the house is nice. Suddenly the house is warm. With people you know around you, it is just nice. Nassim is nice that way. As it is huge with too little people and just too much space. The boys said so too. While we chilled, even though it was only for a short while. It was pleasant. We talked for a bit, and under the night sky, it was peaceful. Just peaceful.

Before that, we went to watch movie. Ink heart. Totally different from the book. Oh well, which movie isn't. Michelle introduced to the Brit food at Far East. So pathetic haven't try that one yet. Tzuhao was still him. Kokwee, he did not came to the house. Kolia, just hope he did not end up in RP. So again the usual minus a bunch of people. I wondered where the rest went to.

So on Sunday at dinner for CNE. Horrible food. Skyped to the rest of the family. Just weird we all were not at the same place. But oh well. Good thing there was technology.
CNY was alright. As usual to Ama's. Suddenly everyone was just grown up. The big brother's children. Those 2 guys became so big. They brought their gf along. Don't the gfs have their own family to go to? What's up with these people. Is it alright to bring your boyfriend along to a family function? CNY has a lot of days. Can't the bf come on the 2nd day?
Unless of course they are going to get married soon. And that was also when the kids are like what, 20++ something. Like for now, being around 20s. Or like less than 25, is it alright?
Well, they are guys, Guys tend to get marry older than girls. So i think 25 is still too young for guys. Oh well, nothing to do with me. If they got married, another extra $2 for me. Hehe.

Shop Again

Just last week i was like it had been so long since i went shopping.
Guess what? I went again today.
This time with Annhui.
Me, her and Yunjia went to Shaw Isetan. They had like 10% on everything. I never buy anything though. In supermarket nor in shopping mall.
YJ had to work. So me and Annhui walked around and around.

Actually i was sicked. Wanted to go home. Since presentation is your own presentation and you have to comment on a classmate. I got Taufiq. Shijie got me. So, well it was not that bad. Taufiq qon't get mad easily, so nvm. Stayed in school. Suppose to hang out with Nat. But i really wanted to go home, take cab, but end up not. Coz YJ and Ann going Orchard by MRT. So i decided to tag along. Then not sick anymore. Wow, shopping centre air cure me!! So decided to just follow them and shop.
I hate me. It is so hard to find a fitting dress that has a reasonable price.

CNY Shopping

I went shopping. Lalalalalala.
Went to Far East Plaza on Saturday with Michelle. First we ate a huge meal of Carl Jr. Yum. But super huge. Never manage to eat them all. Not to self: Do not get zapple. Then, went around. I bought a new shoes. So did M. She actually bought 2 pairs of slippers in the end. I just bought shoes and a hoodie. She got that, a dress, something and something. Usually when we went shopping, i will end up with the most bags, not this time. M got more bags than me. A lot more actually. Haha. I wanted to buy a dress, but i was thinking of should i buy or not? Is 50 too ex? Then found one that is 4o. But i was still considering. Crap man. This is what happened, when you have no money, and people kept saying recession all over. Need to be sensible now.
I need a blazer. And i bought it yesterday. At first i thought it was further reduction $49. Turned out the price is $49. Well hell, it's from $179.90. So worth it. Hahahaha. I am so cheapskate. I only buy sales.

Anyway i walked all the way from Nassim to Far East and around to Wisma to Taka and around and to Plaza Sg. Man 8 hours of shopping? Fun!!
Need more shopping time.
Oh, i wanna go skate.

Grumpy and PMSy

Been spending Tuesday and Wednesday after school with Nat. So fun.
On Tue we went to eat subway. Plan to go some where. But in the end went to far east. Ate subway, then went around. It had been some time since i went shopping. With a friend. Suppose to go with Mich last Sat, but she was busy. Oh well. Life now is so busy. Hard to make time to hanging out with friends.
Then on Wed, just spend the whole afternoon at Nat room. We talked. It had been long too. Talk bout boys and friends. Man, i miss my other friends who are not here.
Today, i woke up late. Thus having to go to school on my own. Then, during UT, i use the 6P of communication instead of cognitive. Like wth. How can i saw the wrong 6P?
Fun thing was we got to see the career fair in school. Went down with some of the girls in class. They are so kind to me. For once i had fun being in W16J. Lol. But the semester almost end, and only now then i am close to them. Honestly i am such a pathetic girl. So anyway, career fair was really fun.Kind of unexpected, but yah. And am i like the only one who have no idea on what to do in the future? When i looked at all the booth, i was not interested in any one them. What i want was to go overseas, explore the world. Have an adventure. Then, what i was looking for was further studies. I want to just continue studying. If my option is between study and normal office work, study win hands down. But..
Yah.. Oh my gish, i just realise what i want, what i dream is just not going to come true. No matter what. I guess i can try to make it happen. But hello, i am in supply chain. I do not want to be in that business. I want to follow my own dreams. I want to be my own person. Just like Miranda said in sex and the city: I love you, but i have been in a relationship with myself longer. Or something like that. So yeah. I need to be me. I need to make me happy. Make me happy first before i can make other happy. It's only fair, right?

Kalai's grandma went to the hospital today, so another day not having Kalai around. It had been 3 days. And i just hope her grandma will get better.

And nowadays, i was so mad and frustrated. See above examples on my career choice. Plus so many other things. Gosh. I don't know what to do! I just want to go home and sleep for 17 hours. Wake up to watch 3 soccer games then sleep again. I want that. I miss that. I want to feel belong. I want to feel wanted and cherish and loved. I want to be happy.

O lvl Result

Oh man what a relief.
Lol. Even though i am not taking the O result today, but still.
I'm so sorry to those who fail, you can always try again. Don't forget, it's a new syllabus. So, it is unfair for you to take it. Plus the fact, you all do not have the guide from the teacher.
On the other hand to those who pass or did better than previously, congratulation.

While waiting for Yog result, i almost cry. When he told me his result, i also almost cry. Man, so touchy. But yeah, he did well. I think. So, not bad at all. Hopefully its above average than normal people. So he got a better chance of joining any course he want.
The long awaited moment is finally over.
Now it's time to party!!

Our own version of No One by Alicia Keys

we are all close friends
good friends since the beginning
you could be sure
that it will only get better

we are all together
through the days and nights
we are hardly bored
because we will have things to do

we just keep talking
what to do for the breaks
but all we know is
everything's gonna be alright

and no one no one no one
can get in a way of what we'll doing
no one no one no one
can tell us what to do for later (later, later)
can tell us what to do for later

When the rain is pouring down
we are stuck with planning
we will always be around
This we know for certain

the only problem now
Through the days and nights
we will worry cause
we have no money right bout now
we just keep talking
what to do for the breaks
But all we know is everything's gonna be alright

and no one no one no one
can get in a way of what we'll doing
no one no one no one
can tell us what to do for later (later, later)
can tell us what to do for...

we know some people search the world
To find something like what we have
we know people will try
Try to research
Something that's cheap
So we can go have fun
we're saying that there ain'tno one

No one no one no one
Can have fun without much money
No one no one no one
Can plan a really cheap holiday
oh oh oh....

A New Year, A New Beginning?

I was hoping that this year will be much better than the last. Had lots of complains and behaved really childishly. Until younger bro had to me off. Oh well, maybe it is time to act my age. Not spiritually, but really.
  1. Time to try smiling all the time. No matter what.
  2. Time to cherish everything i got and have.
  3. Time to be the past. Where Fifi is really helpful and kind to all creatures, even fishes. Where Fifi is loving and nice. Still smiling, even if gotten step on the head.
  4. Time to be present. Stop daydreaming.
  5. Time to be the future. Look ahead and behave accordingly.
  6. Time to be a better friend.
  7. Time to step out of the house.
  8. Time to stop kidding around.
  9. Time to follow my dreams.
  10. Time to do good deeds.
  11. Time to stop being so prejudice.
  12. Time to make own set of friends. Girls and guys.
  13. Time to be happy. Smile, smile, smile.
  14. Time to stick to something i like forever.
  15. Time to listen to own heart and follow it.
  16. Time to stop thinking too much.
  17. Time to not be afraid to show true colours.
  18. Time to be me.
  19. Time to smile.

And lastly since i am reaching a head 2, it is time for me to grateful and thankful.

Time past by so fast. Another year had passed. Year 1 in Poly is going to end. 3 more weeks of school. Yeah! I will try my best to stop complaining. I will do my best in everything i do. But that is not a promise, for i know i will break them. As i said, i will try.

It is really a time to put the past behind me. No more regrets and sorrow. Just memories and mistakes to learn from.

So, before i close this post, let me put in a few wonderful memories and thanks to all those people who matter to me.

  1. Thanks to W45J
Especially Kalai, Huimin, Alson and Weilun. You guys had been there for me, when the conflict occurred. Then we had our lunch together. Most of the time, at least. Thanks to Azizi for bringing me out of the shell. Thanks to Melissa and Yussof for hanging out with us. Thanks to Leonard for the first lunch outing. Thanks to Sameen for being the first friend in class. Thanks to Limei for the company while waiting for Kalai's tryout. Thanks to Alex, for showing me that there is nothing wrong with following your dreams. Of course in the end, i did not do that. Thanks to Tong, for you always make me realise what a baby i'm being. Terence, thanks for all the time you never fail to cheer me up. Lastly, thanks to Shawn for hating me. You taught me a lot. Without you, i will still be living in my own little bubbles. Without you, i forgot what life is all about. So yes, how shocking it was, i am glad we get the chance to be friends. Just a regret that we both can sometime be alike that we cannot be friends. Oh well, i hope whatever i did to make you hate me, you can forgive me. Hey we did throw you a little birthday surprise. :D
  2. Thanks to W16J
What can i say? I still have 3 more weeks with all of you, so i cannot really say anything. Who knows, maybe there will be some sudden surprises in store for me to see. Never the less, thank you girls for always counting me in. (Annhui, Shafiqah, Yunjia, Angela, Cherie) Thanks to Raj for trying so hard to make me talk. Thanks to Wanqi for always saying, "Hello Fifi." Or something like it. Thanks to Hafiz and Kaiyoung for coming to the bbq.
Thanks Alistair for saying hey when you saw me at Vivo. Though unexpected at least you prove that i exist in this class.
  3. The people at the State
Honestly with all my heart you guys are the most important people ever. You guys are the reason i am still sane in class. Never fail to cheer me up, never fail to let me down, unless you guys have work to do or not online. Oh man, i miss all of you.
  4. Michelle and Vicky
You 2 know what you did. Sorry for all the time i complain. Every time i talk to you, i will feel guilty for talking too much. Hahaha. I love you guys. Thanks for still being my friend.
  5. Hannes
    Who else.
  6. Tiany
    For doing all the sh*t.
  7. Natalia
    For being my latest friend.
  8. Sophie
Haha, for we always complain that Jess and Pat are never online. For being so great at the Halloween party.
  9. The Broadrick boys
Well you guys rocks. We are closer now than we were ever be in secondary school. So strange, but i guess we as human do look at things that are familiar to us. In this case, us, each other. Thank guys for being there. And Nicholas for all the ppt.
  10. The other girls that help me through 2008
Yes you Liting, Chiaming, Mona and Teeli. For just blogging your life out. Knowing that no matter what, in desperate cases, i can always talk to you guys. Hawa for just knowing you alone, that will make people smile. Junie, who will always be the one person i can depend on.
  11. The Dwarfs(the family)
You guys sucks. But you guys can make me laugh. You guys can ignore me one second and make me smile the next. Thanks for the movies night.
  12. Guanzai
For all the random sms. Which will never fail to make my day.
  13. Ica
    For the trip to Phuket.

Then these are the memories:

  • Working at ski360

Yup, that's the events. That's pretty little. But knowing me, listening to my complains, it's pretty much been a good year. Oh well. Farewell.

And now it is time for 2009 to start. Which hopefully will be better with much more smiles and laughter.
To a new start!
Cheers!

P.s. Thank you friends for being there for me.
