Ya ya, I spend too much

It was no excuse really, but my fingers are really itchy. I blog bout this here. I think this is great for those who do not know much bout skincare or makeup and want to try new things. A bit pricey though. For $19.95. Use the code LOVEBELLA50% and get your own Bellabox here. [I don't know if it still work]

Went to Mustafa to get this. Its one of the cheaper cleansing wipes in the market. And in Mustafa it was 2 for $8.80, the cheapest found so far. I like the cleanses, tones and hydrates part. So its a all in one wipes, which is really handy for the lazy me.

Went to JB, to get this. It's just a sheer Baby Lips color. For my pigmented lips, colors cant be seen. Just a hint, I guess. But I like this lip balm. It goes on smooth, has a little SPF, a good base for lipstick, and really will last for 6 hours. I go through lip balm like iPhone users go through their batteries.

I also bought sparkling water and some Vitamin Water. I love Vitamin Water; the fruit punch and dragonfruit. It just taste like water, but with a hint of flavor. Like the water from P.S Cafe.

Bought some nail polishes too obviously. I just cant help myself. Plus a few more things from Singsale. Which  have not arrived. So I'll probably put it in next month haul. In the mean time, I should be studying for exam and stop spending money.

Happy Easter!

Lee's Taiwanese at the Star Vista

So I went out to the Star Vista. It was a very cool nice place. Mostly outdoors with plenty of restaurants/cafes. I feel that the only problem is that this is Singapore. The weather is hot most of the time. It is not pleasant to walk around. At first I thought it was near the MRT, end up you have to walk a short distance to reach your destination. Plus, it was not air-conditioned. So, it was really a bother. I know I am spoil but my expectation is more than what actually is. So I am greatly displease.

After walking around the 3 story high, from B1 to level 2, we finally decided to eat at Lee's Taiwanese. It looked cozy with family of all ages. Pretty small dining place, with both outdoor and indoor seating.

We decided to get the main courses, plus one set value, comprising of appetizer of the day + fruity drink/tea for an extra $6. They gave us paper and pencil and we tick the food we wanted to order. The menu is just a big piece of laminated paper/poster thing. The food came in a fairly normal time.
The food is alright. Limited choices, but I just feel, the lack of chili is making it not a fair trial. Cause I love my spicy food. And without it, everything just taste so-so. I mean you need to eat Mee Sua with chili right? Of course.
Pigs Intestine Mee Sua, $8
The noodles is alright but it is kind of steep. The beef is not that soft, and again I think it is not that spicy. I miss the one in HK, even though the last time I ate there it was pretty oily. But it is still nice. This one, just so-so.
Taiwan Beef Noodles, $12
So this is the appetizer snow bean curd and seaweed. It's pretty small. I actually like bean curd as it is just so silky and smooth, yet very firm. It's like eating soft abalone.
Snow Bean Curd, $3.80
The drink we got was the passionfruit greentea. It taste just like any passionfruit greentea out there. Damn, I feel like drinking it now.
After the food is served, they gave us the bill and wanted to us to pay on the sport. I mean, what if I wanted to order more food? Like maybe a glass of water which cost 20c. Plus GST and service charge, how much will that be? I do not like the straight away make payment concept. It is not like as if it is crowded and we will run away.

I don't know. The whole experience in that place is just average. The seating is not that comfortable. More like Ya Kun place with the hard chair and you can just sit for a while type. The space was tiny but have room for movement, so it wasn't bad. The price is on the pricey side. I can get better nicer Mee Sua for half the price outside. The server only know Chinese? Well, that's my impression. Not much of a problem for me.
So overall, I won't be coming back for sure. But you should check out Star Vista as there are plenty of food options to spoil your choice with.

A fun JB trip

Yes here I am again typing this down when I am suppose to be studying for a test. I really just have a habit to blog when I am suppose to study. Maybe I should have a test every single day, then I'll blog more regularly.

Anyway, I really had fun going to JB on Saturday. It was a great day. The mall, City Square was upgraded. So it was so much nicer than the last time I was there. My fav mango drink is superb too. The last time, the mango I had was sour. This time, it was just like the one in HK. Went to eat the sushi restaurant. I can't remember what it is call, but the salmon mentai is so much nicer than the one in Sg. For some reason it is not so cheesy and thick that it is pleasant to eat. Usually it is just so saucy, thick and eventually every bite will be sickening.

There was sale going around too. The only regret was buying foolscap paper from MPH as there was a Popular on the level above it. Foolscap at Popular is so much cheaper. RM13 for 480 sheets or something like that. I never buy much too. Just Elianto nail polish, buy 3 for RM16 and my Babylips from Watsons. I wanted to get Rimmel matte powder, but the Rimmel counter was practically sold out. I wanted to get some other product, but the crowd was just too much. So end up, with lots of self constrain, I never get anything else.

Also I wanted to get Inglot shadows, but I do not know the price sold in the US. There, it was selling at RM30 per piece. And I know I am more interested in the packaging which you have to buy separately. So I nada for me.

Went to eat at some hawker food place. Stingray, cockles, crayfish, satay and chicken wing. All the yummy food for a marginally cheaper than Sg. Well, obviously. The weather was so nice and with occasion wind, it was the perfect weather to eat our dinner.

Then went to the nearby Cold Storage, and bought my Magnum. It was RM4, and I always have to eat Magnum whenever I am in Malaysia or Indonesia. It was just so overprice here, that I have to find delight overseas.

Overall, the journey was great as it was not crowded. Only when going home, there was a queue at the Malaysia checkpoint. All the Singaporean were going home at the same time, but it wasn't too bad.

Came back to checking my IG and found out some Sg blogger went to JB too. She bought like Etude House nail polish for about $5. I check on Qoo10, and it was selling for $4.90 + $1.90/3pcs. So technically it was cheaper in JB. And I was blaming myself for not going through the shop more thoroughly. Come to think of it, I want more Elianto polishes. The bigger bottle one. The new colors are so pretty.

I guess I can be proud at myself for only getting 4 things on this trip. So ya, a consolation ending to a well deserving break.

Pitch Perfect

Pitch Perfect is one of the more easier movie to watch.
So anyway everyone was saying how awesome Fat Amy was. And I was like ok, not bad, a cool awesome not stick figure character as part of the main character. But I really do not like her as she did not help Becca. It just got me so frustrated. If people was saying how awesome she is as a friend, I expect her to be one. I got such high hope for her. End up, it wasn't a biggie.

I was disappointed at the part where Becca just add on random songs in the routine. And after, when questioned, Fat Amy did not even bother to back her up. That's where I find the '"friendship" lacking. So I was expecting her to be the awesome friend but she wasn't.

Anyway, I really like Becca eye make up. It is just so simple and dark. Looks so unique and simple, yet just  so mesmerizing.

The story line is also simple. I especially like that the Dj guy wasn't part of the story. And she doesn't fall for him.

I guess the major reason I like this is cause of the mash up. I love mash up. I love how she mixes her own songs, and throughout the whole movie, it just play different mash up songs. and its cool that she knows so much songs. Really impressive. Sure back in secondary school I am really good at memorizing song lyrics. But now, I cant even sing a verse of any song. Not even the chorus. That how much I suck. So watching this feels nostalgic.
Oh, happy birthday counts?

I downloaded the soundtrack too. I hate it. It is ok, but not as good as it sounded in the movie. Especially the part where they did the battle and the finals. It wasn't a mash up, more like one song after another. So disappointed. I really did like the music from the movie.

Sixth

So I was sent this link

It's a video of one of the Wong Fu production. It's one the of the best production they made, I feel. I guess cause it gives me the some kind of emotions that I never really expect. It's like I love mushy soppy romantic stuff. I do want it. But I just don't believe in it. I don't believe in love. In happy ever after. I like the idea of it. I want it. But I don't believe it.

People who are in love are either new or having an affair.

I guess I always want that in love feel. It's easy to love someone. And be with that person for maybe the rest of your life? But it's hard to stay in love.

You can keep it up or try. But then you have kids and a life to build. You have work and money issue. Life will eventually catches up with love.

I rather stay out of love. But I actually like love. Love the feeling it gives to people. But I always feel its just an illusion. Or just a starting point. Like kids loving school until a certain grade. Then they hate it.

I really hope one day I can find/feel the HOW, the sixth. After the who what when where why.

I guess I just need to find the DONi.
The guy who can put a stop to my phobias. The guy who I can be in love with for a considerate long amount of time. I just wanna know what it feels to be in love.

One day you'll be my sixth.
