In the Month of July

 I have to buy this. It's on sale. Deborah Lippmann from Luxora. And they gave me free sample. How nice! Love them. Now, if only I have more money.

Had to get essence. Originally wanted to get the brown eyeliner. But end up getting the smokey eyes shadow instead. Since I probably will use them more. And I wanted to get the polish, but I didn't. What happen was, they had a promotion if you bought more than $10, you will get a free gift to be collected at cashier. So I did, and I got the polish that I originally wanted to get. So happy!

Didn't exactly bought this myself. But I love this so much. I been playing with these colors all the time. Really love the prism purple glitter. I've been loving glitter lately. Even though its a pain to remove them.

Had to get this when I saw it at the kids section of H&M. I just know that Kelly will freak and well I am right. She use and love it. I've been loving my little pony lately. Not the pony or what, just the my little pony friendship is magic the series. All about friendship. 

Lastly, I have to talk about the one thing I love this month. 

Godiva! Chocolate drink. Yummy! So chocolaty. For $9, may be a tad pricey, but so worth it. So, if you haven't try. Try it. The chocolate is so strong. I drank the dark chocolate. But they have the milk chocolate, if you don't like dark. 

Warning: drinking may cause you to feel full. Plus your teeth will be stain with chocolate bits.

One more additional thing. All of them have their Cutie mark, which is like their calling. Their life or what they good at or what they were meant to be or do is determined by their Cutie mark.

So basically all you have to do find something you like to do and if it's something you are good at, you'll get your mark. The tattoo on their body shows the kind of pony you were meant to be.

Now if only we were all like that.
A sign to guide us what we were meant to be. Something to show us what we were good at.

Every pony has a purpose. So do we have a purpose in life?

My Little Pony Friendship is Magic

Kelly has been watching this show since the YouTube's teen react talk about it. It said that young adults, especially guys watch this show. Anyway, I couldn't care less until one day. I was in my usual sleepy state before waking up for the day. Kelly was on her bed watching and there was this dialogue:

"I will never ever ever ever ever be you friend."
"But that's four-ever!"

I just started laughing. Then Kelly called me weird for smiling in my sleep. Seriously, it is funny. Then thanks to her, I just started watching it. She will ask me to watch this and watch that. Tell me who is what pony and what they do and such. The whole show seems absurd, but I just got hooked. 


It was said that the writer of friendship is magic is the same as the Powerpuff girls. Doesn't really matter to me, but she is awesome. I really like the story, as it is all about friendship. At the end of every episode, a lesson will be learn. Basic understanding of friendship, a great lesson for everyone.

Pinkie Pie, Twilight Sparkle, Rainbow Dash 

Rarity, Fluttershy, Applejack

Each of the characters represent a certain trait; laughter, magic, loyalty, generosity, kindness and honesty. They are friends you could ever hope for. They stick together, help one another, learn from each other. 

I guess I am so lacking of the idea of friendship that I need to be reminded that it exist. That kindness and laughter do exist. That not everyone is selfish and out to get you. These 6 friends give me hope that people can still be pure. 

For any other show, the characters are actual humans, so with the different personality you appreciate them as a group. They will compliment each other. That there are a variety of people and lifestyle that makes the show not boring. The same with these ponies. It's just that it is in cartoon. And the jokes are not PG. 

I really like Pinkie Pie as all she do is laugh. All smiles and laughter with her. She can be this annoying person that every clique will have. But she's the childish type that bring joy to everyone. She is basically everyone friend and she's happy go lucky. 
I like how she's just so cheerful all the time. She just never fail to make me laugh. Kelly called me lame for laughing at random moments. She said its not even funny. But Pinkie Pie always do random stuff. Like this one time when it rain chocolate, it was suppose to be a disaster but Pinkie Pike was so happy that she got to drink chocolate falling from the sky. Or the one time she wave at the dragon when everyone else was hidding. She just seems to be so oblivious to stuff. It's cute. 

Kelly like Fluttershy. As the name suggest she is shy. She is kind, especially towards animals. Everybody loves her. Pinkie Pie cares for her a lot, and will not prank her as she is just too fragile. While she is one nice pony, she can be irritating as she don't dare doing stuff that is basically not in her comfort zone. So in other word, she can be a party pooper. Sounds familiar?

I can go on, as it is closely related to me. Haha, I guess since primary school my favorite topic has always been about friendship. Show and tell, poem writing, it will be bout that. So yah.

A Week in July

It has been a pretty good week. I went out to meet Huimin on Monday and Tuesday. Shop shop shop. I know I said I will stop shopping, but I just can't help myself. I have no self control. It was fun cept the part that Kalai could not join us for dinner.
Before that, it was mami birthday. Followed by a Sunday of Kelly dance performance and Hannes so call graduation. It was a fun family activity. Too bad we cant celebrate with a bang.
But managed to see a bunch of people. People I haven't seen in a very long time. If I open my eyes more I think I will be able to see more as when I see fb, it seems that everyone was there. They just post photos of the event, and I am like, ah he's there too.
Oh I saw this really cute guy there. Pure clean face. Not exactly fair, but not tan too. So cute! Don't know who is he. Too bad.

Saw Michelle at Forever21 on Tuesday. It has been 8 months since I saw her? 

Going to hang out with her and Vicky soon.

Oh and on Monday, Jess whatsapp me. That's like random. It has been so long since I talk to the US girls. It's like they disappear. She's looking for a job now. So all the best to her. 

I have been editing the scrapbooks, and I saw pictures which bring back so much laughter.

These are memories of a life I once use to have. Miss it so much, but you can never turn back time. Nor can you relive the moment. Oh well, it is memories after all.

This is us trying to win a trip for some QOO competition back in primary 5. QOO are our precious babies. We didn't get to win. But we sure have fun posing for photos. 

Annie

Awesome musical. Lots of parents bring their kids. Anyway it's the 2nd show in Singapore. I found out the orphans are actually kids from Singapore. Molly is so cute. Not bad that they use local talents. But they are probably from international school. The younger ones are like Mischa's friends. Their faces and such.

Anyway, the story is about an orphan girl who tried to run away looking for her parents. She had with her a letter and a locket. One day Mr Warbucks the billionaire decided to have an orphan for 2 weeks during the Christmas holiday to stay at his house. He liked her and wanted to adopt her. But she just want her parents. So he broadcast it bout finding Annie parents and he will give $50k. Ms Hannigan, the caretaker of the orphanage has a brother, Rooster. And he and his Ms ho-tel decided to fake being Annie parents for the money. End up with the help of the president, traced the letter and found out that her real parents are dead. Bad guys got sent to jail and Annie live happily ever after.

The person playing Ms Hannigan is awesome. She has to act all desperate for a guy as she is old, above 35. And she hates being sober.

Our ticket is awesome. We got to sit in the middle pretty front. Like about 8/10 rows. So get to see the actors from the stage very clear. But the guy in front of me is so tall and he's basically blocking my view. I can't really see the left stage.
Oh well.

Even though it is implied that Annie is a kid show, don't be mistaken. There are many jokes that only adult will get. I mean kids below 10 will not understand.
Like the Rooster girlfriend name is Lily St. Regis after the hotel. And so theres the part where someone say Ms ho-tel. The ho implying a hoe as she dress like one. Well I think she was suppose to be.
They use Chinese words for applause in the end of that scene. And Ms Hannigan said yam seng before taking a swift of champagne.

So it's a great entertainment for kids and adults alike.

Plus when the dog appear, everyone goes awwww.

The Secret of Life

Damn teh tarik, I am still awake at this hour. Mind wide awake, eyes wide awake.

Met up with Sophie. She told me that she is now living in this positive attitude life thanks to the secret. It's a movie entitle the secret. It came about and became popular when Dan Brown's the Da Vinci Code became the movie of the year. I remembered it like that. As the cover page of the secret remind me of the Da Vinci Code.
Anyway it said that you have to have a powerful mind that keep thinking about what you want in a positive way trying to attract it. So think about something you want in a positive manner only, and keep thinking about it. Eventually you will get it.
Oh and plus you have to be happy as positive energy attract positive energy. So get rid of all your negative energy, negative friends and negative feelings.

It is simple and some how one time or another, you told yourself that before. But we always forgot because there will be days when we forget to be grateful at what we have and compare ourselves to others.

I used to live by that mantra where I think about the things I want and wish for it to happen. I usually get what I want. I always feel that I am the luckiest girl in the world. But I do not know what made me stop.
Negative people? Backstabbing friends? Lost friendship? Unappreciated?

You always forgot to be grateful. You forgot to be thankful. You forgot to be happy. I don't know if I can ever be so easy go lucky kind of person again. I don't know if I can be nice and friendly again. I've seen too much, I hurt too much. It must take a whole lot of positive energy to bring me back to my feet.
There are a few who are able to, but in the end it's just a one time offer. I do not want to lose people in my life again. I rather we got lost together or just me who disappear. So I still want the world to end. Do you think if I will it enough it will come true? In a positive way of course. (e.g. end world suffering)

Anyway, I do learn a lot of life and friendship and love. While I do not know how to love a person, I am glad they don't give up on me. I may not give my smile away that easily but I am glad there are some who bother trying to make me.

I am thankful to have you in my life.

I am super grateful for accepting me the way I am.
Even though it is not practical.
Even though it is not the norm.

Arthur Christmas

Love this movie.

I like how it started with a letter by Gwen, a little girl who believes in Santa but is wondering how the heck he manage to deliver all the presents to all the children in the world.

Remind me of post on Santa. Well, not really. But she questioned Santa work technique. And the movie show that. About how Santa delivers the presents. How even if there is no more chimney, they still managed to place the toys under the tree.

Arthur is the youngest son of Santa, so he will not be Santa. He worked in letters and basically everyone look down on his job. Cause he work behind the scene, so he is not seen as important. However among everyone, he is the only one who actually care about the children.

His brother Steve just want to be Santa, because he is the one who created the system and stuff for the production line and delivery.

Santa just want to be Santa, because he is important if he is Santa. So he doesn't want to retire just yet.

Grandsanta want to go back giving presents because he wants to go down the chimney and relive his glory days.

What great about this show it that you can relate it to the world now.

Now, with so much better technology, the older generation complain bout the world now and always talking about how they use to do things in the past. But if you watch this movie, then you will know no matter how classic and original the past is, it is the past. It will not work on the world today.
No matter how great you think you are, other people matter too. If you are selling stuff, customers are the one that you should care about, not the way you sell stuff. Because they are the one that will comment about you and they are the one that will buy. So you cannot be selfish. If you want to be highly powerful and well loved, you gotta understand what is the thing that matter. In Santa case, it is the children.
Do things for the right reason. And not because you want glory.

In the future, if you want to lie to your kids about Santa existence, you can always watch this movie. Then you will have a better understanding of how Santa work in this century. And that he is not old, he is just the next few generation from the original.

I just wanna know how Santa find a wife that's all.
